Sindhudurg is a wonderful tourist destination located in the state of Maharashtra and known for the fortress Sindhudurg which acquires islet in the Arabian Sea. It is famous for its scenic beaches, forts, dense forests, coconuts, kokum, cashew nuts, and mango trees. Sindhudurg is a part of Konkan (coastal) region, a narrow coastal line in western Maharashtra which lies between the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea.
Malvan is a Taluka level place and famous for its historical presence. Sindhudurg Fort is very close to the town and you can reach there by boat. Every day many boats leave from Malvan Jetty to Fort with tourists to see this wonderful historical icon. It was built by Great Maratha Warrior Shivaji Maharaj. The total area covered by this fort is around 44 acres and it lies on the island, named kurte.
Malvan is a holiday destination for adventurous lovers and watersports. You can enjoy various watersports activities here like jet ski, speed boat, bumper ride, and scuba diving. It is a noticeable spot in Malvan that you can easily reach there by Taxi or your own two-wheeler. There are also some famous beaches near the Malvan like Bhogave, Tarkarli, Kolamb, Tondavali, Chivala, and Achara. Malvan is an also home of great temples. The Rameshwar Mandir, Bharadi Devi Mandir, and Kunkeshwar Mandir are amongst the few. Every year many devotees visit these places for blessings.

Malvan beach is easily accessible from major cities like Goa, Mumbai and Pune. MSRTC and Private buses from all major cities are available to reach Malvan and Sindhudurg.
Kudal is the nearest railway station to reach Malvan beach which is situated around 30 KM. Kankavali railway station is situated around 47 KM from Malvan Beach. From Kudal and Kankavli tourists can reach Malvan by state transport buses or private auto/taxi.
There is no direct air connectivity to Malvan and tourist need to reach Goa first by air and then they can travel to travel by road to reach .
